I live in a fabulously historic town - Lisbon, Ohio. Unfortunately, not everyone appreciates "old," so when I find someone who does, I need to know this person.
Enter Renee Lewis. This lovely lady and artist extraordinaire grew up in the area. Except she broke away, headed to New York and made a name for herself in the jewelry industry (Google her name). But Renee did not forget her roots, and instead, gave back to her childhood community in a huge way.
Renee saved the oldest brick building in Ohio, which resides smack dab on Lisbon's main route through town and spent 11 years doing whatever it took to make the building spectacular. In the process, Renee created a place for her to call home when in Lisbon; The Courthouse Inn & Restaurant.
Renee's jewels can be viewed in her own space in Barneys New York. Her jewel of a building can be enjoyed any day of the week in Lisbon. I am very fortunate to call her my girlfriend.
Visit the link below to read about Renee; her husband, Michael, and their beautiful gift to our area.
And, by-the-way... I took all the pictures!!

Think Summer While the Snow Flies
This beauty of a bike has enjoyed a lovely life on our farm, but is in need of a new home. I love old bikes like this Raleigh. The big springs on the two-tone leather seat. The long chrome fenders. The handlebars at just the right height... What's not to love. If anyone is interested in this old gal email me at VintyStash@gmail.com for a price. Her three gears work, her tires hold air, and she floats along like a dream
Starting fresh
Our family is a keeper of things. Lots of things. These things have been passed down, stored away, packaged up, lived with, and loved for years.
But it is time.
Time to move these pieces onto new homes where they can be used and loved for years to come. I am out of space. My tastes have changed. And, while I have been acquiring family things, I've also bought things of my own. Old things. Vintage things. I have that disease; lover of all things old, and I do not think I will ever find a cure - thank goodness.
So VintyStash was born. I am slowly selling. And this blog will be one place where I post images of things I wish to sell. I also plan to discuss, delve into, and decipher this crazy passion of vintage things.
I make a living writing about antiques. Been writing for major trade publications since the 1980s. I know stuff. And I want you to know this stuff too.
